Our History
When you do something as well as we do, and for as long as we have, you’ve got a lot of stories to tell. But, for us, our success has culminated from one simple truth. We set out to build a custom home company for people who demand the best of the best. It all began in 2005. Geoff Kennedy was working in the luxury custom home space. Jason Kenel on high-end renovations. One special project brought these two unsuspecting strangers together. By working side-by-side they discovered a partner who shared their values.
Neither could settle for the ordinary. They always wanted to push boundaries and elevate the expected. They also wanted to make the industry better. They believed custom home building should be synonymous with trust, accountability and service.
These desires were the catalyst for their partnership. Before long they became Kennedy + Kenel.
Over the years, they've earned consistent 5-star reviews. They've completed a roster of magazine-published projects. And, they continue to evolve their business to meet the needs of forward-thinking customers.

GEOFF KENNEDY
Geoff is the visionary co-leader at Kennedy + Kenel. Embarking on his construction journey when he was just in high school, Geoff honed his expertise across carpentry, roofing, and masonry. Renowned for his relentless drive to innovate and meticulous attention to detail, Geoff became a trailblazer in building science. Under his leadership all of our homes are built with craftsmanship and cutting-edge design at the forefront. We aren’t just building homes; we’re sculpting a future where each structure stands as a testament to quality and innovation.

Jason Kenel
Jason is a rare blend of tradition and innovation in construction. His journey, sparked at 6 in his grandfather's workshop, flourished into a passion a few years later in his father's landscaping firm. By 21, he’d built his own construction company, now one of Canada’s premiere luxury custom home builders. Jason's rich career in the construction industry has made him one of the brightest and most knowledgeable minds in the business, guaranteeing not just high standards, but an unmatched commitment to understanding construction technology.
BUDGET MANAGEMENT
RACHEAL SROCHENSKI
Meet Racheal, the process and budgeting backbone of Kennedy + Kenel. With over 24 years in Administration, Bookkeeping and Office Management, and a BA from Brock, Racheal is the Stalwart of Spreadsheets and Systems. Her passion lies in structuring, maintaining, and continuously improving every aspect of operations and ensuring all projects stay on target. As a dedicated mom of three, she brings the same nurturing and supportive qualities to her role. Racheal is the heartbeat of our business, ensuring everything runs smoothly for our office and our clients.

LARA VOLOCHKOV
Lara is a 30 year veteran of marketing and client experience. Her focus with Kennedy + Kenel is measuring and optimizing client delight. She’s advised giants like Johnson & Johnson and Kraft, travelled the world as a keynote speaker and built 100K followers on social media. Honoured with numerous accolades, including the Top 40 under 40, Lara's most cherished role is being a mom. Her adventurous spirit has led her to spelunk 16 stories underground, hike active volcanoes with her son and bungee jump over a rainforest.
LANDSCAPE DESIGN + MANAGEMENT
KENDRA KENEL
Kendra is the design and management engine at the heart of our projects. With years of expertise honed in her family contracting business, she's the bridge between clients, building officials, and seamless project execution. Kendra skillfully juggles everything from contracts to warranties. But there's more to her than just work; Kendra cherishes time with family and friends and dedicates herself to volunteering and animal welfare. She's not just shaping landscapes; she's changing lives.
LANDSCAPE DESIGN + MANAGEMENT
MICHAEL KENEL
Michael has had an illustrious 30-years career in commercial and residential landscape design and management. He’s a certified Landscape Designer and Architectural Designer, heading up our Landscaping division. He’s designed and built hundreds of outdoor environments across Ontario, but his speciality is navigating complex sites and working on eco projects - he hasn’t met a challenge he can’t overcome. At home in Dundas, Ontario, he's a family man; husband, father and grandfather.
